Jason at Softball

Brooke and I went and watched Jason play in his two softball games Monday night and I decided to take the camera and get some pictures of Jason playing. Brooke loves to stand at the fence and watch and cheer for Daddy.

Garage Sale Treasures

On Saturday Brooke and I went and checked out the garage sales in the neighborhood. We went to four and at one we found some clothes and this monkey with the tag still on it. Brooke loves monkeys and fell in love with it. She has been carrying it around, hugging and kissing it ever since. I am so happy she has found suck join with it and love seeing the smile on her face. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Fun in the Sun

We have been spending a lot of time at the pool. More time then we spent the whole time we were in Cuba where we could go year round if you can believe that. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

On another note we lost some great people this week and hope that their memories will go on and that our children will hear all about them. RIP Ed McMahan, Farrah Fawcet and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson may have been a little off but was a very talented musician and his death was quite a shock.

More butterflies......

Flutter By

Well today we decided to go on a field trip with the USO. We went to the Natural History Museum and see the butterfly exhibit that it free on Tuesdays. Jason is feeling a little under the weather but decided to joins and he is the only one that had a butterfly land on him. One of the butterflies called the postman landed on him and the got it off with a paint brush before we left. Brooke loved the exhibit and was good and didn't touch any of the butterflies. We didn't look around the rest of the exhibit but will go back soon and may even go back to the butterfly exhibit on a Tuesday. Hope you enjoy some of the many pictures that I took.

Happy Father's Day

Well Jason had to work today so while he was working Brooke and I went to church as usual. When we knew he was getting ready to come home Brooke put on her special outfit and got Daddy's present out. Tonight we are cooking steaks on the grill for Daddy. We feel very and lucky that Brooke has such a wonderful Daddy. Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there.

New toy

Well Brooke went for her 15 month check up on the 15th. She was 20 pounds and 11 oz and 30 inches long. The doctor said that she is very smart and advanced for her age. Now for the bad party. She had to get three shots which I knew about but also had to do a blood test for anemia. Good thing Jason was there because I wouldnt have been able to take her to get it. I could hear her screaming and crying in the lobby, it was horrible. Her and Jason both came out with tears in their eyes. Then we went to Daddy's softball game and she tripped and cut her leg. All in all it was a bad day. But I have been going thru her closet seeing what kind of clothes she will need for the fall and winter because we dont have much and came across a toy that she was given for Christmas that was to old for her. It's a 2 in 1 piano and she loves it. She is a real natural and I think that when we can we will get her into piano lessons. Here are some pictures of her with her new toy.

June Afternoons

Here are a few pictures from the month of June. Brooke and I have been having to do a lot of indoor play due to the rain but we have been making it work. Brooke loves to play with my cell phone, look out the window at the rain and close and open doors. Enjoy.

Red Wings Girl

Well since it was game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals we decided that Brooke would put on her Red Wings jersey like her Daddy. It was a little big because it's a 3t but her Opa got it for her before she was born. We are sad that the Red Wings didn't win but I guess you cant win them all.

Thunderstorms

We have been having a lot of rain and thunderstorms. One day in the middle of the week last week Jason and I were sitting in the house and it started to get dark. We went outside and I saw what was happening I had to run in and get my camera so that I could share some pictures. This was a few minutes before the rain started.

Enjoying Summer

Well we have been enjoying summer by getting to the pool when it's not raining. We have been lucky enough to have Daddy join us a few days. Brooke loves the water and then have 3 pools, a rock wall and two slides. Brooke also have 4 teeth now but the problem is she has been grinding them so we are trying to get her not to do that. She also is getting quite fond of the word "No" even though she's not saying it in a mean way. But she say "NO" to bed time, nap time, foods she doesn't want and occasionally when we ask her to say hello someone on the phone. We hope you are all having a great summer.
